For the record it is Elyr writing this entry.

I feel it is essential that I record the happenings of the past day, so that the details will be preserved, should we become separated from this journal in future. I am writing this from the Aethri Token House in Kethra as it seemed the safest option.

After our flight from the gallery we had little time to make any sort of plan, Fia scribbled down the journal as there were details she needed to remember and she has not yet learnt the art of echoes. While she was doing this I contacted the Sodality and the Aethri Token Bearer in Kethra for advice.

Not long after we found our refuge, there was a loud commotion at the door. Banging and shouting and all sorts of unnecessary noise. We had no option but to let them in.

They burst in making all sorts of incoherent accusations of sedition and vandalism and said they had orders to escort Fia to the presence of Vivia Thorn herself. I tried to explain to them the information that had just been passed to me by the Sodality, Fia and I had just been extended the protection of the Aethri Token House.

They rudely disregarded my words as they had never heard of a human having Aethri protection. It has happened on numerous occasions in history, and I tried to explain this precedent to them but they seemed incapable of basic comprehension.

Fia was marvellous during this, she said nothing, clearly understanding before I did, the slow-witted nature of guards before us!

She simply looked at me, handed me this book and as she was bundled out of the door she spoke in my head “keep yourself and mouse safe. I will find you soon”

How soon remains to be seen, so after I have finished this I have invited Tomsk and Fiera to the Token House to make a plan.
